Ontario Long-Term Care Association Calls for More Staffing and Investment in Senior Homes

The Ontario Long Term Care Association, the largest association of long-term care providers in Ontario, is calling for more staff and funding for Ontario's long-term care homes.  The CEO of the OLTCA, Candace Chartier, recently addressed the Economic Club of Canada and noted that government funding has not kept pace with the needs of Ontario's elderly.  She is asking the province to modernize homes, allocate additional resources to small town and rural homes, and to increase staffing to meet the more complex demands of residents.
